Did you ever decide on an engine driven welder? I have and would recommend the Bobcat as some of the other guys have said. The 225G is rated at 8000 watts, which is more than you said you were looking for, the 250 @ 10,000 watts. Either one can double as emergency generator in the event of a power outage, and can power your HH140 if you need MIG in remote areas. Mine is mounted on a small trailer that I move around the yard with a riding mower. It also carries my torch rig.
