  • That wire would be from the engine pulse coil that provides initial exciter voltage to the weld/generator alternator (wire #9) to begin the process of making power. If you don't have it, you can download the unit manual here http://www.millerwelds.com/om/o419e_mil.pdf to see where it is/goes.
