Looks good inside, ready to begin to fabricate a patch.

I like to do a quick sand blast to clean good for fluxing and solder. And yes, a little ****ty on weld but solid enough to hold it and lead it.

Cut the face off, and now look real close to lower left pinch near rust spot. If you look close you can see the factory "hole" they left. The caulk bead is about 6mm away on the outside of this, to short and off to the side. Haven't seen one that wasn't yet.

Lead soldered puddled in place read to file. And yes, an oops to hot on the molding. I should have removed it, but tried to sneak by, and almost made it. Shortcuts can haunt you. I figure the little blip is better than a molding misalignment, or that won't remount as good as original. Can't see it 8 feet away, so it stays.

Every Last Generation S10 has this, or will have it. Every single one will, factory defect in panel seal. There is yet to be an S10 Xtd. cab truck that will not rust here. It looks to me that the caulk seal that supposed to seal the backside of the cab corner to the back wall is too short, and leaves an air gap about 8 mm. to let in the rust bugs.
