Airpak 304 Engine misfiring, needs new coils........suggestions???
I have an Airpak 304 on my service truck. I bought it back in September of 2019. The past year its been spitting and backfiring while sitting at idle. Seemed to run fine at full tilt. I’m curious what everyone’s running for oil in their air cooled welders? I’ve got a 302 Airpak with the 30HP Kohler and I’ve been using Amsoil 10W-30 small engine Synthetic. It seems like good stuff I’ve been told it’s great for these small engines that bang away 10+ hours daily but sometimes...

Weird Miller Air Pak welding machine problem!
I recently purchased a 1988 Miller Air Pak 400amp welder from a government surplus auction and it has me stumped. The unit has the Deutz FL4912 diesel motor, which runs perfect. The problem comes from the generator side of the unit. When I fire it up, the unit produces 110v power but not 240v. Also,...
