Merry Christmas!

The heaviest end of my Bobcat is the generator end (front of machine). Not sure if that's also true with your later model Trailblazer or not.
With that in mind, if you are going to mount it long ways, with the front of the machine facing the rear of the trailer, then mount the machine...Last edited by Desertrider33; 12-22-2010, 11:30 PM.

My Bobcat is difficult to re-start a rod at slow idle and has no 'dig' control. I don't stick off the Bobcat all that often, but when I do, I set the idle switch to fast idle and let it scream instead of idling down between welds, makes re-striking easier.

The decision would also depend on what equipment you have available to you and what your skill level is with each process in question. So, unless this is strictly a hypothetical question, a real world answer to your question is not possible without knowing more information.

As an experiment, I tried pure argon and .035 70S-6 with my 200 amp mig. Even with the machine turned all the way up, there was practically no penetration and not very good fusion either. Maybe I could make it work with the XMT or 350P running .030 wire, but I have no need to try it.

If you want the same arc, settings, etc in the shop and field, get an XMT, plug it into shop power in the shop and run it from any 8KW or more welding generator of your choice in the field. I run my XMT from my Bobcat.

Here's the owner's manual for it. http://www.millerwelds.com/om/o1315_mil.pdf
What exactly are you having trouble setting up?

You'll end up spending more money on an appropriate power supply to run that feeder than if you just buy a used shop mig with internal feeder off craig's list.

Win Zip is a file compression software, typically available free, that you can use to compress 'zip up' the file, making it small enough to send via email. Your friend will need Win Zip to open it when gets it on his computer. Unzipped Win Zip files usually automatically go into a folder titled 'unzipped',...

Wow, great deals you got on those new tigs!
LOL, I have three extra M10 torches hanging around here. Miller really needs to put a better torch on these Passports, at the very least a Q150, but I vote for the Q200, even though I use Q300's on most of my migs.
