One of my mig welders had the same problem at one time, I opened up the torch end and cleaned the contacts on the trigger and maybe lubricated the trigger switch, fixed the issue. It has been so long ago I can't recall but I know the problem was with the switch and I did not have to purchase anything...

I agree the slowness is still off and on yesterday I was having a lot of trouble opening threads. I don't know if I am missing something or not but it would be nice when opening a thread where you could click on last post instead of manually clicking on the last page then looking back through each post....Last edited by gnewby; 02-17-2016, 07:07 PM.

Thanks Jupiter, I will have tor remember that as we have all kind of old Nomex from work that are pretty much wore out. We also have several Bullwark pants that are always needing to be replaced that might make a good cape for the welding helmet. Our Nomex is very light weight and even if is FR material...

I ended up asking the wife yesterday if she had any velcro which she did have, so I told her what I had in mind and she told me to bring in my welding helmet and she would see what she could do. I went and grabbed all three welding helmets I have and brought them all in plus an old FR winter hard hat...

So whats going on now I have tried emailing the forum email address listed but my emails bounce back to me? I have also noticed that several posts on this site are repeated one right after the other. Sometimes only just seconds or maybe a minute apart, with four to five posts straight in a row.Last edited by gnewby; 01-25-2016, 07:31 PM.

Every since this site changed its talk forum it is lucky to see a single post a lot of days. While other sites have 15-100+- tells me something is sure a miss here. I think the talk forums can...

I will second the suggestion of the silverdine cream. It works great on burns.

If I recall correctly they were probably about 1 1/4- 1 1/2 wide and about 6" in length.

They were great, nice people to visit with and of course very knowledgeble. They put on a helmet viewed my welding and offered some good advise on how to improve my welding.
I kind of felt like a duck out of water welding with the flux core and the Miller Road show guy gave me a few...

Miller Road Show
I got a chance to go see the Miller Road Show in Great Bend, KS today. It was great, I was only able to be there about an hour. I tried out a Miller 211 auto set, running flux core and running off of a generator, and then welded with a Miller 211 running solid wire. Both were great welders, I wish...
