Leading requires tinning acid, keep it out of any seams. It is junk in my opinion, and that's 40 years in the auto body business. It detaches, cracks, and causes huge rust problems in seams....

Either the bumper or the brackets need to be weaker than the frame, you want the damage to be replaceable, pulling shouldn't hurt it, but I saw a 72 chevy 3/4 ton stuck in the mud and the tow truck ripped the front of the frame rails off with his winch. Just a 2 ton tow truck.

Did this for 40 years. Pull way back with the mig gun and melt off pieces of wire red hot. When you have enough pieces stuck around the hole move the gun in and make your weld, repeat and repeat. I'm sure they exist but I never met my rival on automotive rust repair.

Getting clear miller engineers don't quite have a good understanding of solid state circuits. Their old stuff was great.

Plate the sides , try the outsides first, then the insides if that doesnt do it. Top and bottom don't matter as much. If you cap the c it will stiffin it more for the same weight of material, but a lot more work.
