"Blowing out" or cleaning a 280dx dynasty

I've got the same machine. All I weld is dirty aluminum on pontoons for the most part. I use pretty much exclusively a gas lens 1/8", a number 8 cup, 1/8 wolfram tri-mix tungsten. I did buy a 4 pack of pyrex 8 cups from jody's. They work well if you need to use a mirror to weld behind something...

Anyone know of a video that does this? While I am a mechanic by trade I am a little scary about cracking into this with all the sensitive electrics and whatnot...

I wonder if it is safe to assume that if it was super important Miller would contact me directly somehow as I bought from an authorized local Miller dealer and they have all my info...

I have a dynasty 280dx tigrunner I bought in November of '16.

While surfing the Miller site the other day I see there is a software update available for download. It offers some fix or upgrade. It is dated August '17.

Question is....How important is it to do these upgrades?...

So, I just bought a 280 dx. I really enjoy it. By all accounts my practice at welding aluminum is coming along rather well.

My question is really for the folks at miller. I believe the package I bought is considered a tigrunner package. Came with cart, cooler, wireless footpedal, etc.......
