Welding in cold weather

It's 1/4 or 5/16 thick, There's got to be some kind of standard chart for at what temp it needs to be preheated. I have never seen a wps nor have I talked to the inspection company....

Thats not a reasonable option, We got 50 plus tubes to weld to cols that are 8x8 welded all the way around...

Does anyone know the latest AWS code for welding 7018's in cold weather. Like at what temp is preheating required?...

I don't understand why it will only do it when the other side (box) is welding also. It will weld all day by itself. It will finish a weld when the other side is welding but it will not restart another weld , You have to turn the whole machine off for a minute and let it reset itself and it does not...

I have a 450 duo that flashes 4 blues and no weld. The welder will weld on the side the 280 has problems as long as I am not using the other side ,Now the welder will not just quit, it will weld until you are done with weld and will not restart the arc and I get a 4 blue code. I can shut the whole machine...

All the small gas engines are throw away 3k hrs machines, We have had 2 that around 2500 to 3k they started to need motor work. If you use it everyday I would look for a low speed diesel....

I have it working but don't want to burn anything up. The feeder is set on the cc , dcen for fluxcore and the welder selector switch is on 6010 stiff dig with leads in the dcen.The welds look fine but what throws a wrench in it for me is the volt meter on the feeder is...

Yes I read that but I have also read that you can just switch the cc/cv switch on the feeder box to cc....

I got the manual and read that but I have never had anything plugged into the rc14 and the board has been looked at. I was wondering if anyone else had the issue and could lead me in the right direction....

As it says I get the hlp 25 code when things get really damp outside, most of the time I can let it run for a little while then the code will go away and weld. Recently it will weld first off in the morning and then set the hlp 25 code and not weld for a couple hrs....
