Northern Tool has a plumbing kit for around 50 or 60 dollars if I remember correctly, for dodge, chevy, and ford.

If I were you, I would change the dryer receptacle to a 4 prong, 50A. Change your dryer cord to match. Extension cord 8 ga, or better yet, more money, 6 ga. 4 prong 50A plug will suit you for the future. 65 ft is a long extension cord. I'm not an electrician, and somebody will chap my behind...

Like JT said, burn a couple hundred lbs of rods. If you are gonna work pipeline, slick caps are expected. I like using pipeliner rods for filling, but you have to watch for pin holes if you are gonna cap with them. Clean all the bbs from around the weld area when you are filled out, and the cap...

Easiest way to make a grasshopper is to cut on a scrap piece of pipe the same size as the pipe you are going to weld. You need about a foot of pipe. You can shape it any way you want, but the base of it needs to be able to grab the pipe, so you mark it out about 1 inch width, and about half of the...

thought I would chime in on the 350 pipepro. Everyone on line that I have talked to says to make sure you have the latest brain box. They are continually updating it. Last I heard was they were up to "G" something or other.

tried it and loved it. I just bought a new pipepro 304 last year, and have put 2,000 hrs on it so far. It won't be long before I buy the 350 pipepro. The arc is sweeeeet and consistent. No arc spray when you pull out....

Brass wedge if you wish to be safe. If you want to speed up the pre-heating of the pipe, light it, and use a steel wedge. Once it is lit, no freight train will be rolling at ya.

I bought the Dynasty 200DX specifically for working in my shop, without the rig. It is kind of pricey, but exceeds all my expectations. lol, I hope it is still there when I finally get home.

I've used this machine to fill and cap 36" .750 wall pipe, using 8P+, and 70+ rods. SMOOOOOTH. i'm not fond of capping with pipeliners because of bug-holing. The pipeliners make filling a breeze on heavy wall. We're gonna try out some ESAB rods as soon as they ok them on procedure. I've...
