There is also the CK Dabber to help in feeding. There were giving it out for free, might want to check their website. It does not have inserts for wire thinner than 1/16", but I'm sure something can be fabbed up for such an occasion.

I have an account with Amsoil, so I just order directly from them. It's like $20 a year, and they deliver straight to me anything in their website. I use that oil in my generator....

If your budget and brand choice is flexible, HTP makes an awesome 320A multi-process Pulse/Std Double Pulse/full manual Double Pulse machine for aluminum welding. You can choose to use a dedicated water-cooled MIG gun, spool gun, or a push-pull gun (either air- or water-cooled). Mine has the former...

I've tried the 7018 and 6010 from Böhler and they run pretty good....

If I had a job that required a good amount 045 dual shield, I'd most likely not even look at my 200A MIGs, but I'd use the Pro Pulse 300 instead. With that one I can go a heck of a lot higher in WFS that's for sure. I can go up to around 460 IPM and up to 38 or 40V on the voltage....

I used my ProPulse 220, so I'm limited on the WFS to about 275 imp for 10 seconds. Any lower on the voltage (at that WFS) and get too much crackle. At that wfs, the voltage is a good compromise between bead width, filler deposition, and bead/spatter quality. Higher voltage would definitely smooth...

250ipm/24.5V. Could have used another ~1.5V or so, but it still ran nice.

5/8" is the tip recess. I'm using a custom-made nozzle.

Got a roll of this wire at the LWS and it runs pretty good. $75 for a 33# roll of 045, but I think they gave me a lil bit of a discount since I bought some other stuff.

The 211 inverter AutoSet works great in both C25 and in the gasless Flux-Core settings, since they are different switch settings. But yea, too bad it had that wobble (even in the replacement motor).

200A is enough to run 045 dual shield but on the bottom-middle end of it's useful range....
