3rd time TIG Welding lots to learn
this is on a 1/4" steel plate coupon using a 3/32 tungsten, and size 8 cup. This is just stringer beads on plate. Instructor told me I needed to go ahead and take my plate test Im not so sure still not happy...

Well went to the eye dr this after noon and left with a pair of prescription safety glasses. Whats funny the eye doctor said the lenses in my old glasses are the same used in the safety glasses anyway so I probably could of got away with some side shields to clip on existing. Oh well apparently it was...

Suggestios for anti fog
So I wear glasses and usually have no fog issues under my hood I am taking a tig class and were required to wear safety glasses under our hood now I am getting constant fog issues even using a anti fog solution on my lenses any suggestions

Profax 17FV vs Another Brand TIG torch
We use ProFax 17FV torches in my tig welding class. The Handle slips when I walk the cup and my head gets out of position. Not everyones rig is like this, Lucky me!instructor suggested holding it up closer to the head and not on the handle. Guess I am stuck with what I got for the duration of the class....

I was referring to the filler rod and yes they use a lot of 1/8 for carbon steel pipe welding. I have a set of 9" channel lock linemans pliers if they fail i will upgrade to kliens

Best Cutters for cutting tig rods
Ok started a Tig class and were welding carbon steel what the best cutters for trimming up and cutting the rods were going to be using a lot of 1/8 I though a good set of linemans pliers may be a good option

Heck he is starting to get better he is about to start a cart project I will weld all the critical areas but I will let him weld what he can.
The gate is removable so thats why its not in the pic. Great trailer had ir resprung and heavier axle as well..

With the metal chained down and with safety gate on back nothing has came out of trailer so NO your wrong it will not rattle out if you secure the load properly....

Nicole is very helpful It will be cool to hear the results I submitted in 2 catagories but probabaly not a snowballs chance against the competition
