with me welding this, would it mess up my welder. should i just eat the 90 buck in metal and buy thiner, or pay some one do weld it for me. i just dont know....

ok so
no pure, im going to get 2% lanthanated. how can i preheat. i dont have oxy acetylene. would i be able to us propane hand torch. and if so will that contaminate the aluminum.

3/32 pure tungston, rod 4043 3/32. so think of a rod iron fence but its a head board and made out of aluminum, top and bottom rails are 75"x2"x1/4 and the rods a 32"x1/2x1/2. im trying to weld a tee joint where the rod is centered on the top and bottom rail. ...

im trying to make a head board out of 6061 aluminum. the metal thickness is 1/4 to 1/2 inch. the welder im using is the diversion 180 by miller. but when i prep the joint clean tight fit and start to weld my 6061 rod balls up and melts before i can get it in the puddle, then my base metal starts to...

what are yall's suggestions on making small axle? im making a welding cart with wheels. my frame for the axle is 1inch square tubing. but im having trouble with my wheel selection and axle. should i use all-thread or strait bar for the axle?

So i bought the Miller diversion 180 welder and i went to plug the 20a 250 volt plug into my generator and it wont fit into my generator. My generator does not have a 20A 250volt plug, it has a 50A A.C. 240volt plug which is a little bigger than the welder plug. what should i do? do i need to get an...

portability to me is when i can load up my welder and go. i can haul around anything from 0-200pounds, but i dont want a 200+ welder in my truck bed at all times. i do want a big good engine driven welder but i dont have my own garage to put it in. i cant seem to find a tig welder...

i want portibility
i want portability, i was looking at the multimatic 200 but i feel like i would be sacrificing performance just so i can have mig, tig, and stick in a small unit. instead i think a tig machine would work better for my situation. so I'm looking at the Diversion 180 but...

why do you say that? you might be right! im trying to find a welder that has mig and mig on aluminum with spool gun with 4043 wire. so i can work on sheet metal, trailers, and mild steel pipe (schedule 80) that is 5/16 thick. i also have some aluminum projects as well....
