Problems with wire feed on MM210
Hello guys. I have had my MM210 for about 1 1/2 years, and it has always performed perfectly. Well I was using it today welding some 3/16" plate to some 1/8" box tubing, and began having trouble with the wire feed slipping. I did the old point the gun at an angle to a piece of wood trick,...

Thanks for all the nice comments and advice guys. I definitely have some thinking to do about this. Although I have some money from a boat I just sold to fund my tig welder, its nowhere near the amount it would take to get a syncro 250 or dynasty 300. I was honestly pushing it to get a dynasty 200...

I think you make many very valid points about the 210 being the best tool for this type of fabrication. I get great looking and strong welds out of it, and it is fast to use. My problem is that I am a perfectionist. As nice as the mig welds look though, they honestly don't compare imo to a tig weld...

wow I didn't realize it would require a 250amp unit to tig weld 1/4" steel. Here I thought a Dynasty 200DX would have been adequate. So I guess to biggest steel a Dynasty 200DX(or any 200 amp tig) is capable of is roughly 3/16 then?...

Yeah it always seems I'm $1000-$1500 away from what I need. As I said, I have and love my MM210, would the Syncro 180 to the 250 be like comparing my 210 mig to a 175? Aside from more output what is the advantage of the 250? Thanks for your input guys

Yeah another "Which Tig Machine" question...
Hello all. Well I've been getting great use out of my MM210, I LOVE the unit, it works great. Now to my current question. I used the "search" function and learned a ton, but still needed some recommendations for my application. I am a car builder(hot rods, etc) that does a little bit of everything...

Hello! By far the best product for that use is 3m Weld-Thru coating. It is made exactly for the purpose you describe, and does an excellent job of protecting areas that cannot be reached once welding is done. I have used it many times behind filler panels when shaving door handles etc or in general...

question on Maxstar 200LX
Hello all! I have a question about the Maxstar 200LX. My friend owns this model, and I spoke briefly to him about my interest in learning Tig. I want to soon buy a 200DX. He told me of features his LX has that the DX does not, but I don't understand in laymans terms i what the true differences/advantages...
