so in theory if you replace the old drive motor with the new style and ordered a new door sticker, using the new door chart settings would work? which would just leave the auto-set feature affected? is it even possible to re calibrate the wire feed system?

i 2nd this question! is it possable to change out the drive system in the 140's,180's,211's to the newer version? cost aside im currious if it can be done....

those are cool, i chose to build a barstool racer personally. course i cant leave the cooler out so im building a small trailer to pull behind it that can haul my cooler or anything i could fit on the deck.

yea i looked it up. its articulated which seems more of what your project will be. for mine i was going to try a solid front steering axle like a jeep would use.

i may just lift the green POS and make it 4 wheeled and leave it 2WD. so much easier right now.

ive been on this **** computer for 10hrs researching ideas and ways to do this and as a 4x4 concept its not looking so great i dont know.
im trying to make a small ish cart that's 4x4, i dont have the truck nor the trailer to make a freaking huge buggy. those jap trucks are cool...

for the 2 carts i have pictured, the gray cushman is our yard cart and its staying as it looks in the picture. i used it for a reference picture for people who didn't know what a 1979 cushman haulster...

im trying to find the drive line from a cushman LIKE pictured (gray POS). the parts ive found are either WAY to far away or WAY overpriced. im trying to find like power transmission devices from other vehicles other then just cushman. reason im asking here.

its going to be four wheel drive, hence the reason of using a automotive front end. by time its lifted up and on 22" tires it wouldn't be something you would want to go really fast in anyways.
the green unit isn't very wide anyways its 3'6" wide now but my idea of a final width...

its not staying 3 wheeled. the gray one will lol its dads yard cart. the green one when i get it will be 4 wheeled.
i plan to do a narrowed solid automotive front axle. to match up with the narrowed rear automotive axle.
its quite heavy so i would doubt a lawn tractor transmission...

ok im a bit odd and nuts but i love every minute of it. next door is a plant nursery that has been there ever since i moved into my house as a little lad. they have a few Taylor Dunn electric carts. as the old owners are getting into there mid 90's so...Last edited by joey2589; 11-25-2009, 12:17 AM.
