Spectrum 375 Problem
Today when I turned on my 375 the green power light would not come on. The fan did momentarily come on, but then went off. I checked my line voltage (243) and tried switching unit on and off but would not come on. Day before it was running fine. Have I overlooked anything or is it broke?

Once on my 210, the wire was pinched on the spool near the outer edge. I pulled off a few yards of wire to where the wire was wound better and the problem went away. Bad section on the spool.

Are you sure these are made by Ridgid? I can't find any information about them....

Thanks, the seller for some reason thinks that this is a 460 volt only machine. I really don't need it but for the right price I wouldn't mind having an ac/dc stick machine. I am still a bit unsure, upon closer inspection, the page 9 instructions is for the 230/400 volt, 300/200 amp machine. so maybe...

It is the Thunderbolt AC/DC made in 1997 serial #KH359325. I looked up owners manual http://www.millerwelds.com/om/o316f_mil.pdf online and on page 8 and 9 I believe it shows that this change can be made, but i'm not positive. If someone could verify this it would be helpful.

Miller Thunderbolt AC/DC 460 volt
I am looking at a used Thunderbolt ac/dc 225 that I am told is 460 volt input. Can it be changed or converted to 230 volt?

For what it's worth, I bought a Snapper commercial lawnmower in 1986 That has a Wisconsin Robin Teledyne engine. To this day it starts on the first pull. But if I were to get a new Bobcat or Trailblazer I would really be in a dilemma as to which engine to get. So I really think this would be a good...

If i'm not mistaken the 375 requires 4.5 cfm at 60 psi. I have a 375, and personally I think you need a bigger compressor. My compressor is rated at 6.6 cfm @40 psi and 5.8 cfm @ 90 psi. You will be disappointed if have an inadequate air supply.

Out of curiosity I called Miller and asked them about a power cord change. I was told point blank that whoever told me this didn't know what they were talking about and I wouldn't notice a bit of difference. Just thought everyone would like to know Miller's stance on this

I'm already running in on 240 and a 30 amp breaker. So I might just up it to 10-3 wire and put on a heavier plug. My plug now is rated 20 amp. Per owners manual Miller only recommends a 15 amp minimum breaker on 240, so maybe I won't see any benefits in output performance. Thanks for the help.

Hawk, not really disappointed. Just seems like the ground wire is a little on the small side. I especially don't like the stiffness of the wire. It would just seem a lot nicer if it had the same ground cable as the 625. Anyways thanks for the reply. Also read the post you referred me to on the power...

Larger Power Cord for a Cutmate 375
I have read where this machine will benefit from a larger power cord. It comes with a 14-3 cord so I assume 12-3 or 10-3 would be better. What benefits can I expect if any? What I really want to change is the ground cable. It is just a stiff little wire that really looks cheap on this cutter. Come...

I am fairly certain it is #12 wire, am going to check it out today. The compressor was a Sears Craftsman (Campbell Hausfeld) that I got new back in the 70's, about a 3 to 5 hp with 20 galllon tank. All I know is that I showed it to the electrician and he put in the matching receptecle. Why he put...
