The Millermatic 210 doesn't offer enough top end voltage to spray with 85/15 CO². Due to the top end voltage limitations the Millermatic 210 will struggle to spray with 90/10 CO². Depending on your input voltage, set to voltage tap 7, the MM 210 will typically output 24 - 25 volts and around 200...

The wire drive could have definitely been better on the MM 185. However, arc characteristic wise Miller did a pretty good job on this machine, so I wouldn't have any issue spending $125 - $150 on a new voltage selector switch.

Digital Elite ClearLight lens
Has anyone else tried one of these out? I've tried the previous Elite lenses and wasn't impressed. This lens definitely impresses me. With the unit sitting idle try cycling the voltage selector switch back and forth through the 1 - 6 voltage tap selections several times. After this try welding with the unit again. You might even try using a different voltage tap then you were previously trying.

Yeah, the Auto-Set MIG parameters aren't very good. I just leave the unit set to manual mode. With C25 shielding gas, I find the 215 to be a very user friendly unit to dial the arc in on.

The 215 actually offers more top end MIG power then the 212.
As pointed out the 212 gives you a higher duty cycle then the 215.
The 212 also gives you a more robust wire drive then the 215.
For home hobbyist use most aren't going to need more MIG capability then...

I own a 215. I've used it in MIG and TIG mode so far. With C25 shielding gas, the unit produces a very consistent crisp style arc. To me, in manual mode, the MIG arc is real good, and easy to get dialed in to were it is relatively clean running with a low spatter level. The best MIG arc I've seen...

I am curious have you tried running a roll of Hobart Brothers .030 HB-28 on your 211 ? The reason I ask, is because .030 HB-28 has turned out to be the nicest running .030 wire I've tried on my Multimatic 215, and based on the You Tube videos I've seen on the inverter based 211,...

The 215 over the 200 easily. Compared to the 215, the 200 is a lighter duty less powerful unit. Example the 215 has a 40% duty cycle at 150 amps, whereas the 200 is only 20%.
I'd go 215 over 211. Actually this is what I have already done. I purchased a 215 last month.

Multimatic 215
Ran my new Multimatic 215 last night for the first time. Below is a quick review of my experience.
Played with the 215 a little last night, in MIG mode, on 1/8" . Ran an .030 and .035 wire with C25. The arc quality is good. Miller definitely messed up though by not giving the unit...
