It looks like the weld on the right got better penetration, just from looking at the HAZ in the cut cross-section. Or at least I think that's the HAZ ...

Congrats Mow. that's a nice machine. After having my HH175 for a few years now I really wish I had a 210 or 250 ... isn't that always the way it works ......

or what size mig machines do most race teams use. the only ones I ever see them show on tv when they're fixing a car after a crash look like 110V units.
