    i was wanting to take a welding class but now i personally feel if you were me or if i were you i wouldnt take a welding class! i just think the mig basics are easy to get by yourself with practice or just word of mouth tips and and again practice! thats what i did and im satisfied with my MIG welding!...

    im 2 months shy of 17 and im setting up shop too! im getting a TIG welder instead of the mm175 or 210! anyhow MIG is rather easy to learn! i got MIG welding down in about half an hour! no dissing to the real pros, i mean i just got something that would hold but looked like schie8e! the regular old mig...

    okay ive looked at the speedglas mask and well what can i say, i dont know i want to look like an Alien welding! how are the hobart/miller masks? and with the setting right for the amps should i be able to see everything clearly?

    Chances are at this point im buying a Syncro 180 sd! the first time and only time i tried TIG i couldnt see what i was doing. i could only see the arc, not my filler or the joint i was trying to get! i would assume the mask was bad or didnt have the right setting.

    ok i will probably go for making my own cones ect. out of sheet metal. im probably going to get the mm 210 with the spectrum 375 plasma cutter! maybe the plasma, bacause i dont want to get the torch set up! im shutting down my internet connection very soon so i can move to my other house so i wont be...

    well i would like to be able to do stainless steel 20 guage to 22 guage. im pretty sure that isnt even close(reletively) to paper! maybe i would even try using exhaust tubing.

    ive never been to a metal supply shop, so i am wondering if its possible to get stainless steel CONES of various...

    well its about an extra $800 plus 7% tax! thats without the spool gun attachment. i may drop down bellow the border to get it in the states with the exchange rates and all! then sneak it over the border to escape the duty fee!

    hey what can i say HAWK thanks alot!

    one more thing, whats a major feature that separates the mm 175 and the mm 210? it costs an extra 'G' here and aside from the duty cycle and the 35 amps, what is the major feature? or are the two mentioned it?

    $7000-$10,000 thats pretty hefty ! well i dont know about this TIG speed thing im still in high school, and i just did a course called "Engineering", it was a great class we got to build a $1000 dollar electric kart(24 volt, 1hp motor), and have a hour long endurance race against other schools...

    some guy told me about this aftermarket "pulse chip" for the syncrowave 180! i think the guy who told me that is wrong so i did some looking... and this what i found, if you scroll down to pulse control what is "yes,(pc 300)" i thaught the syncro 180 cant pulse? well anyways here...

    i agree TIG is better maintenance because you can weld pretty much everything(?)! it does take longer to do though but thats okay because you have the advantage of well... doing everthing ! what pops to mind for MIG... chassis building! MIG is fast, easy, blah blah blah perfect for that kind of job!...
