Dynasty 200DX stick on Honda EU2000i genny
I have some light duty, outdoor, remote welding to do and the only available power source is a Honda EU2000i generator. I'm told I can expect about 12A continuous output from this generator at 115V.
Anyone have any experience with the Dynasty 200DX on low current 115V stick applications?...Last edited by drscotch; 03-17-2008, 01:31 PM.

Hey Coalsmoke, if you mean you're moving to ABthen I'll put in another vote for Oxypro. I've bought all my bottles in Edmonton and even swapped out a few in Calgary with no hassle....

beware of guys selling used bottles
I found an ad in our local free ad paper yesterday where a guy is selling a bunch of bottles for what sounds like a really good price. I phoned and got the story about him shutting down his business, etc.. I asked who's bottles they were and he said...

Well a guy on the miller project forum just got a new Q-gun for his new MM175 so I guess that confirms the fact that you can get the free upgrade on any new MIG machine. I suppose that means they'll be switching over all their guns to Bernard at some point. Still undecided......

Bang on!
Here's another example of forum power. For anyone unfortunate enough to buy a 2003 6.0L diesel from Ford the forums were a big help. I followed the discussions at dieselstop.com for quite a while before I bought my '04. When the problems first surfaced with the engine there...

Bernard free Q-gun swap for new MM?
My new MM251 is on its way. I heard a rumor that you can do the Bernard swap on the MM machines. However, the miller website suggests it's only the industrial wire feeders that are eligible. Can anyone confirm this rumor?
More importantly, should I bother? I ran through the Q-gun wizard...

A lot of people have a scientific calculator and don't even know it. Open the Windows calculator (Start|Programs|Accessories|Calculator) and choose View|Scientific from the menu bar (click the Inv check box to get the inverse functions). Voila, you've got the trig functions you need. For free, sorta....

I thought that was for the industrial welders only? They did the swap for free on your MM175? Which gun did you get? All the options on their guns make it hard to choose.
Thanks...

One gas mix for spray & short circuit?
I've always run C25 for my MIG work. I understand you need at least 80% Ar to run in spray mode. What impact would 80/20 have on short circuit mode? It would be tough to justify 2 bottles on hand to run each mode from time to time. Is there a mix that is a good compromise for both modes?
