welding 1/2" with a 180? it's good your not looking for structural integrity unless you hang it on a wall in an earthquake zone with the couch under it....

they were supposed to have the multi on the market in February. i got tired of waiting and since dual voltage was not a needed option i went with the 181i with tig torch, pedal and spool gun for $1400. i got to say it is a sweet machine. the Tweco mig gun and the Tweco spool gun make the m10/110 gun...

if planning to use the 252 in the construction of new tractor attachments, after considerable practice time the 252 is the way to go. i use the heck out of mine for such things. on the other hand if you are referring to repairing said attachments i personally opt for still using the stick with 6010/7018...

i had the same problem with my 252 when i bought it and i changed the ground clamp, gas settings, even the gun to a tweco style which all helped some. changed the run in from 100% to 80% and it cleared it up.

sounds like you just have a bad gauge. a new gauge is cheap. if you bought it new locally take the reg back to the dealer and have them replace it.

i have a Speedglas 9100X, a 9100XX and a Miller digital elite(i don't like it). i use mostly the 9100's except for overhead. i grab my blue flame HF ad hood for overhead. as for switching speed i can't tell the difference. if i fry the HF i'm not out a whole lot.

i use a 6" da sander 120 grit to clean my top if it's not to bad. if bad enough i use a 9" sanding disk with a 100 grit to clean it. sander doesn't dig into the top if done right. i got the bright idea to get a 6" grinding cup for my 9" Rockwell grinder. boy was that not cool. i...
