Hey one been welding pipe for years but just getting into pipline now. Was welding 4"YJ secd 40. Throw in my root with a 3/32 6010 DH. and then time for a very quick hot and cap both DH I was using 7010 5/32 But I'm wondering if a 1/8 would be the way to go?? Running a 300D. Running the welder...

Crap just saw you put down it was tig. Just jam that fillet rod in and watch your amps that seems a bit high

Sry your root is 7018? If it is your amps a way high drop it to about 70 ( I know sounds low) and rotate the rod like your walking the cup with tig. And push it in there with good pressure and it should stack up inside

Thanks cruiser. I run it (12rc) with a tb302 and it seems to run great. Iam I doing things right? And why wouldn't a 12k machine be able to run it? It looks more and more the 350pp is the way to go it will run the vs and rc
