Whats the opinions on Esab solid wires? Im considering changing from L-56 to either Esab's Spoolarc 86 or Aristorod 12.50. In .035". Running on a Millermatic 252.

Last batches of L56 havent been the greatest. I have some esab 710xm 045" dual shield and its excellent but overkill...

The window technique is interesting, . I need to run a bead of weld around the rotted out manifold to EGR tube fitting. The tube is only about 3/4 Dia. Problem is there is no real clearance between the tube fitting and the head (at least not enough to get a good angle on it). Im not sure I have the...

I need to do some mig welding on an auto exhaust system and need some way to get the a weld in a very tight area. I am unable to drop the pipe/header to get clearance. The item (EGR pipe) must be welded in place.

Does miller make a replacement flex tube for the M10/M15 gun? I can find...

Did a bit of troubleshooting today and have it figured out.

The regulator will hold LP side when unhooked from the welder. This means something internal

Took off the sides of the machine and unplugged the hose that goes to the whip from the solenoid....

Im having a bit of an issue with my new MM252 where the LP side of the regulator wont hold gas pressure for more than 1min (actually about 30sec) after the bottle is shut.

I dont think this is normal because my old 130xp would hold gas pressure between the reg and the welder for days,...

Happy Conclusion

Im happy to announce a resolution to my problem.

After taking my helmet to my local welding supply and having them call Miller (as per Miller's request), a new lens was sent to me!!

This is more than i could have expected for a 6 year old...

Wow, it does sound like that!

The guy at tech support asked me about the batteries i had installed (told him i just put Millers in it).

Got me thinking now. Id bet its dirty /damaged contacts

It is behaving kind of like its a battery. If i remove and reinstall the batteries the issue seems to go away for a short time.

Previous batteries (yesterday, i replaced batteries today thinking the old batts were dead) were duracells. The ones today are Miller...

Help!

I have a BWE thats been a great helmet for the last 5 years or so. Now I cant trust it and ive been flashed several times.

Ive changed the batteries and cleaned the sensors.

Ive noticed when i push the ON button, the lens only self tests some of the times....

Unfortunately (or luckily) i was outbid on the welder.

Somebody paid $500 for it . I dont think they knew its been outside for the last while. Oh well.

Im going to keep my eyes open for a 251 or a 210.

Any ideas as to value of this machine in its current condition? Ebay prices are around 1500 but thats for a known running machine in good condition, this one is far from that .
