If you work on an kind of vehicles (cars, trucks, tractors), then a "smoke wrench" is very handy for the "stuck" fasteners - I don't have one yet (I can - and have been - borrowing from relatives), but O/A is on my " to get list", where as plasma is on my "wish li...

If you're cramped for space - for the woodworking aspect, check out the Shopsmith - it's a 5 in 1 (table saw, drill press, horizontal boring machine, lathe and sander) that takes up about as much room as a bicycle. Plus there are add-ons that will mount to it (planer, jointer, bandsaw, scrollsaw, ...

I'm no too sure on the prices. You should use their links to find the rep in your area. If you have alot to rework, they have tips designed to remove surface mount components in one shot - it beats the **** out of using a regular iron and solder wick (especially if you're not VERY careful - you can...

Look at the Metcal brand - we've been using these for the last several years at work (we used to use Weller, but not anymore).

My question is, do I need to purchase a new liner for the .030 wire? My thinking is that since Miller supplied a roll of .024,...

I think it is Terrace's policy not to fill other's tanks - don't know why.
When I decided that I wanted a MM175, I found it online, and stopped in there (it's the only place I know of near me, plus they're open Saturdays). They wanted almost as much money as I was going to spend on a...

In the Chicago 'burbs, we have a place called Terrace Supply.
They lease their bottles pretty cheap. I picked up a ~4' tall bottle of C25. A lifetime lease cost $175, and whenever I decide to terminate the lease (it could be 60 years down the road), I'll get a refund of $150. I thought...

Newbie here
Hi all.
I just purchased a MM175 - should be delivered before the weekend. I checked with the local supply house here, and they couldn't touch the $662.77 price from IOC. I've read here that "most" are recommending the 210 or bigger, but for the occasional body panel/floorpan...
