Irwin is junk, not the quality like they used to be. Look into DRILLHOG. I bought their drills and tap and die sets. Drills so far work great. Have not tried the tap and dies yet. look them up on ebay.

Usually they don't specify welding process, mainly what tensile strength is required ( example 70xx , 80xx ) . Although in a manufacturing environment where multiple welding processes are used I would certainly think it would be best to clarify.

More of an operator / blade issue .What brand, type and and teeth pattern do you use? I have a 1600 and 4000 model, only issues is when cutting steel you sometimes hit a hard spot in recycled steel that can ruin a blade quickly. Lennox blades seem to me last the best.

I run mine on single phase, no issues at all. I have 3 phase power but use 60 amp single phase plugs in shop due to other machines I use that are wired for 220 single to run of generators when needed.

I would say at 92 feet you did good. I have one and that would be more than average blade life.
