Bad Bwe Hood

After seeing that I had to order one. $19.90 shipped. I'll compare it to my $50 HF and my Miller BWE....

My neighbors is 3" gal pipe 2 Ts ,4 caps,4 24" arms 2 8' uprights and about 6 sacks of ready mix. cable is attached with 8 eye bolts through the pipe. You could dry a VW engine on it.

DANG !! The HF base is wider. I can only reuse 1 hole. Out comes my best HF tool the 1" SDS hammer drill....

The shaft went in when the flange bearings were loosened. The cotter pin had to be ground to fit the shaft and handle hub. I am going to drill new mounting holes in the base to match the base of my HF bender. I already have shields with bolts in the driveway and garage. Is this what you call a h...

I just got ring roller#2 and the inner box also looks like it has been dropped. Not as bad as the first one. The shaft wont go through bearings but is much closer than #1.In the AM I'll loosen the bearing bolts and try again.

I got it. The outer box was fine, the inner-orignal box- looked like it had been dropped 50'. The top was so bent the shaft wouldn't go through the bearings even after loosening them. After 3 phone calls...

YES weldor english *****ED= complained. When the hood is turned on after the first arc is stopped the hood does not lighten again....

Last year i bought a new Miller BWE, it was great untill a couple of months ago
when it stopped going light when not welding. I turn it on, off, no clear when on. I haven't bitcked yet but I'm back to the 5 yr old HF $49 autodark which has never failed!!

Has anyone else had this...

Put a light on the end of a 50' extension cord. Flip the switch and count to 50.
