I can only offer a guess but I would start with checking the fuel cut-off solenoid. The kicking up to high speed is normal.

The "green hue" is often a gas and/or contamination problem.

However, with 100% Argon, separation should not be an issue.

Check the "hidden menu" parameters. Some people get into this menu accidentally and end up changing the settings unintentionally.
