Z71 is a 1997, and was delivered to its new owner yesterday. It was a great truck, especially considering how I abused it. But at 13 years old and 170,000 miles, it was time to let it finish out its life a little more leisurely. Here's the new tow rig.

The crossbars that bear no load are 2 x 2 x 1/8. The crossbars that bear load (tie town hooks) and the back section are 2 x 2 x 1/4. The outriggers 1-1/2 x 1-1/2 x 1/8. I have seen no deflection or issues with any of it. I probably have 10,000 miles...

Made a trailer tongue toolbox, check it out
I have no storage on my trailer, so I decided to throw together a toolbox. This will mount in the area inside the tongue where the spare tire currently sits. Spare tire will be moved underneath.
Its all made from 1/8 HRS plate. I sheared it myself at a local shop. They charged me...
