It is 220v.
I will slowly disassemble it and check for poor contacts and corrosion.
I assume the main component (transformer?) Is fairly indestructible. This unit appears low hours.
thank you

MSW42T Spot Welder Basic Troublshooting
When I press the prongs together I can hear the transformer vibrating and the piece of metal gets a little heat, but no glow.
switch does not seem to have any impact.
Any basic steps I can take to get this to work would be appreciated.3 Photos

When you get a chance, could you look at the schematic once more and give me your opinion if it shows both wires 51 and 52 connected to the negative side of the 12v coil? Inside the doted line that surrounds the throttle switch, there is 51 and 52 recorded along with a couple of circles with lines...

Verify S2. In the Weld setting ignition passes via Weld/Power switch only.In the Power setting ignition goes via S2 and the Power/Weld switch. I think it is intended to force the operator to push the throttle to the power setting by cutting the ignition in the Power setting until...Last edited by jimybud; 09-12-2019, 04:09 PM.

I agree. For blue #52 (witch connects the negative side of coil to one of the WELD prongs of the WELD/POWER switch), there is continuity only if the the throttle control is set to idle. So, under the power mode, the unit will not get fire to the plug wires when the throttle control is set to idle....

Repeat Issue: Engine will not run when WELD / POWER switch set to POWER. Welds fine on WELD setting, and the single 110 outlet works also.
Yes, the schematic is correct for my serial number. Page 16, bottom: https://www.millerwelds.com/files/ow.../O411G_MIL.pdf

I will spend some time tomorrow analyzing (continuity, voltage, ground) for wires 51,52 and 53 in relation to the (a) toggle switch for WELD / POWER and (b) throttle control switch, (c) engine coil (d) engine point box.
I am not sure if the throttle control switch is meant to disallow...

serial number HJ180041.
I am not the best at reviewing a schematic. A wire diagram would be a little easier for me to understand. I have the owners manual.Last edited by jimybud; 09-10-2019, 03:13 PM.

AEAD-200LE WELD / POWER Switch Wiring Details CB900 468-1K--Schematic
Engine will not run when switch is in the POWER position.
wire #51 (light green) is connected to the plus side of the coil and also to the top portion of the WELD / POWER switch; when this switch is in the weld position, the wire 51 becomes a ground this allows the coil to perform its...

Spoolmatic 3 Compatibility with a Thermal Arc Ultra Flex 350 Pulse
Is it possible to hookup a spoolmatic 3 to the 350 Pulse?
The spoolmatic plug has three wires, white, black and red. I believe the White and Black activate the gun trigger, not sure the purpose of the red one.
The 350 Pulse suitcase hookup plug has five wires, two 24 VAC (red...Last edited by jimybud; 07-21-2015, 02:46 PM.

XMT 300 CV/CC with Spoolmatic 3 gun-Setup
Could someone please provide the basics on what settings to use on the XMT 300 to use the spool gun?
Here are some basic questions:
Should I set it at CC or CV?
Should the spool Gun be hooked to the Positive or Negative Weld Output?
Do I use the 14...
