Andy, I try to snap it away quickly but the area is kind of tight and the arc stays established on surrounding parts.

I am using my sync for liftarc tig at 90amps on stainless. The machines welds fine but when I break the arc it takes quite some distance. Is there a setting for that?

It is a fairly new machine (about 5-10 years old) with the digital displays.

I have the same machine as alskan, only mine has the tig runner cooler under it. SWEET machine. Pulser is handy.
