Well if I sub the job , which might be better, thou I don't carry sub contractor license , what would t&m be for a 2 month job. I'll know more Monday , if he wants a contractor  number I'll be out anyway,

7 story apartment  complex ,steel headers ,handrail, window frames, I think it's just me they don't have a welder on site,! some rework on headers ..m sure some repair and installation to, I am bringing my equipment  for job , foreman doesn't have any torches either...

the legend welder/ generator is having issues. When i strike an arch it welds but when i'm done it won't power up again for a couple of minutes, it's like it has to kool down or something, the 110 outlet doesn't get juice either so i strike an arch and leave it in run mode instead of run /idle . any...

dual shield

I think 1/4 to 3/8ths stick out, i think 28 might be alittle to hot depends on the thickness of the plate, especially vert, it'll need time to build on start up w/o burning through then you can make a nice stringer up to you i wouldn't go no less than 20 though, that would...

Shouldn't of said dual shield, welders who do alot of open root w/ flux core, 2G and 3G, some suggestions on there first passes.

How many welders have done open root test w/ dual shield wire for ship yard welding, The plates are 3/8 or 1/2 inch beveled 2G and 3G. I'm curious as too doing it w/ a weave at first or run a stringer to the side a little letting the puddle back fill as i go , anyway some thoughts to this process, ...

Where is the throttle encoder located at, whould that be that rubber round housing unit that the throttle pushes in and out of,anyway if i can see it i'll ask the miller mechanic here for the price, thx again very much appreciate your time....
