Those reasons (and many others concerning the import sponsors) are why I walked away from my role as a Moderator on WW....

I mis-typed that as I meant/should have said "China and other nations..."...

I don't expect anything from China.
What I do expect is the Companies that are choosing to import their products to have some sort of business ethics and do right by the customer. Properly develop and QC the products they receive and support them in a reasonable and timely fashion....

You and me both SD.
I'll never respect either company even if they did sell a decent machine due to the their poor business ethics and deceitful marketing....

Slow your hand speed down. You can see that your travel speed is too quick by the peak in the center of your weld and the inconsistency in the toe width.
You may have to adjust your wire speed down a hair to accommodate a slower travel....

No problem spence. If you want to get good at feeding, try welding aluminum with .045" filler. I use it often and have become used to it....

Welderdude has it correct....all of my welds are continuous, no "trigger" welding. That is for people who don't know how to weld....

.045" and feed the sh!t out of it.
I prefer smaller fillers for better puddle control.

Thanks spence. No funny business with the torch. Straight, linear torch movements, steady pedal, and plenty of filler.
IMO, most people starve the weld of filler and that is why they lack throat depth and/or toe width....

Dave-
I've found some on EBay before for decent deals.
Especially for what you want to use them for, look there and you might find a racer selling last season tires for a good price since they will be too worn for the track but perfect for wagons and carts.

Hey Torque1018-
What kind of joint preparation are you doing on the tube? Bevel, flat edge?
For those thicknesses are you doing a root pass and a cap?
Have you tried autogenuously welding the parts?
What flow rate are you using for the Argon?...
