I currently have a multimatic 215 for my MIG and it's so much smoother and nicer than my millermatic 210. I want a heavier mig welder, but im worried the 252 being a transformer will weld more like the 210 than the inverter based 215..... I have a dynasty 350 which is my go to, but a 300amp MIG would...

The 252 has a $300 rebate right now, sounds like they are trying to make way for a new machine? maybe a larger inverter based mig welder? ya im going to try new batteries. I took the pack out and put it back in and it seemed to work for now. so i am going to put in new batteries and see how stable it is. Ill post back in a week and report if it solved the problem.

i have a dynasty 350 tig welder, that i am having some erratic tig arc in AC and DC mode. if i have the pedal at 90 amps, the welder will intermittently jump to 180 amps for a split second, or drop to 10 amps for a split second. if you are welding galvanized make sure you have on a good respirator. Those fumes are toxic!

i agree with MMW. find out if anyone in your area has one that you can rent. if not i would buy a new one and sell the broken mig once fixed. Or you can look in the market for a lightly used one still in warranty....

Very cool stuff coming from Miller. Once miller can make the dynasty 350 the same size as dyn 280, ill sell my 350 and upgrade.

can anyone recommend a quality fume extraction system? Miller makes some nice units but non of them have a hepa filter which removes 99.7% of airborne particles. Miller claims it can only remove up to 95%. Problem is that when you weld SS it produces hexavalent chromium which is really only filtered...

The back of the head gear has this new design with a wide rubber grip. Kind of feels like a palm is grasping the back of your scalp. Feels like a very comfortable fit when you first put it on, but some how the helmet works it's way up your head when you wear it.
