WOW, what are going to be putting on that table 18 or 20 elephants.
Unless you are going to be putting massive amounts of weight on the table, the angle will be just fine.
Do a little research and see how much weight it would take to twist or buckle 3x3x.250 angle from a vertical...

Metabo and Fein are by far the two best out there. Sure, you are going to pay more for them but there is no better quality. They are both products of Germany. I have both of them and they are virtually bulletproof. Other than normal maintenance like blowing then out occasionally, which most people don't...

In a nut shell,
4043 has a much higher silicon content which results in improved fluidity (wetting action). it is also less sensitive to weld cracking. Very easy to work with.

I think 30 amps is a little excessive. There is a reason why they call this machine a constant current machine. Certainly not because there is a 30 amp difference between the machine setting and the actual output. I own a TB 302 and have never had an increase or decrease of amperage by 60% regardless...

I have had both. The 350P and now the 252. I like the 4 roll drive on the 350P, but for the price, the 252 is a good machine. And as you stated, the 15A or 30A is an option and the gun I prefer over all the others....

Look at cyberweld or your local welding supplier. You can find the machine for about $2300.00...Last edited by jpence38; 10-12-2013, 12:08 PM.

Good Ole Cast Iron
You can weld cast iron "hot" or "cold".
Hot means that you preheat as much of the piece as possible as hot as possible without going over 1400 deg. F. After every pass, while the bead is still glowing if possible, peen several times....Last edited by jpence38; 10-12-2013, 07:01 AM.

Brands not types
All of your big names and even alot of the no-names conform to AWS standards. If they do, than the difference is really just operator preference, not wether one filler is better than the other. Just make sure that the filler conforms to AWS standards and you wont go ...

I have some prescription lenses that are polycarbonate. They have held up very well for about 3 years now. I do take a little extra care when cleaning them so I do not get a bunch of little swirly scratches. But overall, I would say I favor them over glass. I have both.
