Cheap Angle Notcher

I have A Millermatic 250 also and the fan does not come on that often. It bothers me. I wish that I could put a temp gauge on it.

2x2x1/8 is the most common size I would be notching. I was hoping for some kind of magical solution something that would not take up much room in my shop. I guess I will check out a portaband.

I am trying to figure out a way to make notches in angle iron. I know people on this website will have a excellent solution to this.

Well I do have several handy tools. And what I am trying to figure out now is how to build a angle iron notcher cheap. I just use a hack saw and I am getting to old for that. I would like to use a bottle jack. Is that even possible? I am going to make a new post on that subject.

I am excited for you. I want a little Miller Tig for I can weld some thin tubing. I have a Millermatic 251 its great. Have three lathes and one knee mill and a old 8x24 Kalamazoo Saw.

Thanks. That is what I was thinking also. Quiet a bit of dust and dirt came off of the transformer looking thing it smells and runs fine. Just didnt want to burn something up.

My fan would come on quite frequently in the past. I never question that. I took the sheet metal off and cleaned it with low pressure dry air and now the fan only comes on every now and then I am starting to get alarmed. Is their a test I can do? Do I need to take it in?
