Check out the welding projects on the Industries and Interests tab...

Many people do the same thing.
Just make yourself a nice heavy duty adapter / extension cord and you will be fine.

Fair and free,
I appreciate what you are trying to help with.
But I believe it would get the message across better if you post detailed photos showing the application of this along with the description you have provided.

If you are looking for a professional appearing, super smooth finish, then the scale will have to be knocked down. But if you don't mind a slightly industrial finish, then just clean it up and spray it!
I've often cleaned off bare metal projects after blasting, wiped them down and then...

I purchased a smaller Hypertherm Powermax 30 because it had the dual 115/230 volt input and was able to do everything I needed. At that time, Miller had nothing similar.
I have used the 375 and 625 Miller Extremes and they do a good job for a small sized unit. I just wished that they...

I went to my LWS and had them get an assortment from the Miller rep.
There are also a selection older and current style logos in various sizes available.Last edited by Kamikaze; 12-13-2011, 02:02 PM.

I was assuming that it would be something of that type of retention but due to my photo viewer, I could not actually see the pins in the picture attached...

I like what you made but I'm not seeing how you "lock" that adapter onto the forks to prevent it from pullling off.
Would you post more details and/or photos please?

Honestly,
I'm more impressed with the smooth and consistent radius bends of the tubing!
That is one beautiful cart!

Maybe you can find a tubing material and "sleeve" it?
I would think you could drill it out sqaure to the proper O.D. of the sleeve and then find a better material tubing to "press" into the arms and finish off the length to give you a better fit.

With Cast Aluminum intake repairs, I've had the best luck taking the manifold off and having it cleaned in a chemical bath for aluminum materials, then having it baked before even attempting to weld.
Then, preheating the casting before attempting to weld but also using 5356 filler. ...

With welding exhaust tubing, are your preparing the welding area of the tubing by cleaning off the galvanized coating or aluminized coating well?
I've seen some people have problems getting a good even arc started and maintained by now fully prepping the joint first.

Your 211 should have a MVP adapter that has 4-prongs. The actually adapter plugs have the 115V or the 220 V plugs that are standard 3-prog grounded.
You can make a short adapter socket box to convert from the 4-prong outlet to the standard 3-prong with no problems. Just check with your...

The weight is at least 2-lbs but as previously stated, the weight is positioned more at the back and acts as a counterbalance for the hood. You don't really notice the weight, (at least I don't), but I got spoiled after getting used to is and hate welding without it!
