A question....what shield gas are you running to mig ss? Will pure argon work or is a tri-mix required?

Pull the "skin/covers off" and use compressed air to blow the dust and grim out of the interior of the machine. Make sure you blow off the control boards. Doing this will probably fix all your issues.

I imagine you have the output control selector switch in the "panel control position". To use any remote control attachments you will need to flip said switch to the remote amp control position.....the side with the little box with an arrow inside of it. (flip it down)

What he said...You can buy a used trailed, professionally built, far cheaper than you can source all the needed parts. Also, if you are unsure about your welding skills and need to ask how to.......You should not risk welding together a trailer that will be hauling thousands of pounds down a public...

All the information offered is creditable.....But the bottom line is , if you weld tubing at right angles to the face of tubing it will warp, pull the tubing in. Fit up your cross members and weld the side joints only, do not weld across the face. This is the only way to prevent warping in said joi...

You have a small leak in the gas flow system allowing atmosphere to be sucked into gas flow stream. Atmosphere includes oxygen and results in contamination of weld shield resulting in porosity. Use a spray bottle filled with soapy water to find leak while system is pressurized but not when welding....

Cannot Adjust the output of my TB 251..
I'm using my TB 251, 1999' model, with HF box on a big aluminum job. My TB amps outout is max or near, with no adjustment. The adjustment dial has no effect on the max output. The machine is welding fine on max output but cannot be turned down. The generator 120v works....everything works but I cannot...

Was this question answered? I agree to it being an orbital weld. No directional change in bead formation....

I have a miller elite digital welding shield and find myself needing to use a cheater lens. The Manuel boasts of convinute magnifying lens holder. the problem I'm having is due to the cheater lens mount being too narrow for the lens I've found and it mounts the lens .125' or so from the inside cover...

New Miller Diversion 180 Wasting Argon?
I have a new Miller Diversion 180. I love the performance but the factory preset post flow is killing me on argon use. The factory setting is 1 second per 10 amps. I'm working aluminum and using high amps, 160, to tack up. This results in a 16 second post flow per tack,(using foot pedal). The machine...
