Quit jackin around with your current job if there is no room for upward mobility. If you want to weld for a living, get in school any way you can. Loans, night classes, beg, etc.
When your in school learn the processes, learn the procedures, codes, how...

With that said, The limitations of it regarding welding overhead, and odd lens size were enough...
And to add to the post above.
The school I attended for welding rolls through three classes a year.
My school is the only one in the area that actually can certify.
Averaging 15 students at the beginning of class and around half at the end....
You can buy a shell and send it off to be hydrographicly dipped.
I had one dipped and it's holding up well. And the designs blow away the cheap stickers that come on stock helmets. I was less than pleased with how the flamed Digital elite held up.
Certainly nowhere near your fleet. But, when it's done i'd like to have the louvered hood, custom engraved sides, a complete wire to wire rebuild. If I ever get some cash going it's headed to Stumpfs....
