I agree with the previous suggestion. Try setting the machine for 65-75 amps max then control the puddle w/ the pedal. I don't know if I'd experiment with pulse settings on a weld that is that small and a project that's not mine. Sometimes it takes a little set-up/practice time with running the pulse...
