WANTED: Westinghouse SP9 (or Hobart SP9) spoolgun for parts
Hi,
The switch missing from my gun is actually plastic and pushes against a hardened spring that in turn presses a micro switch near the bottom of the handle. Now, there is a hole where the plastic switch went,...

WANTED: Old Westinghouse SP9 Spool gun for parts. Hobart also had the SP9.
Hi All,
I am looking for a parts gun to get my old / new SP9 working. I could also use the long control cable that came with the setup. I need the trigger and possibly the screws that hold the handle together.
Thanks,
Tony

For some reason, I just received your reply (notification) on this posting. Sorry I didn't report back. It did turn out to be the power lead. Once I replaced it, the problem vanished.

trailblazer 251nt stopped welding through the remote suddenly...
Hi,
I just got off the phone with Miller and the tech (Dan) said that it should be working so what came to mind was that the tig torch could have a break in the power lead. He suggested hooking up a stinger...

trailblazer 251NT cut out suddently
Hi again,
I tried the one with the contactor as a last resort to try and get back up and running. I have been using the one without the the built in contactor for the past two years without a hitch until it suddenly went out on me last...

Hi cruizer,
Thanks for the reply. The serial no. is KK224497. This is the one without the contactor that cut out on me on the job.
The other one is: LA261674. This one has the contactor.

Trailblazer 251NT stopped welding through the remote suddenly...Anybody have a clue?
Hi,
I was on a job a week ago tig welding on a pontoon boat. I was on my last two beads when suddenly I got no welding power when I stepped on the remote pedal. To make this brief, I checked the breakers, they were OK and checked all the connections, they were fine too. I tried in local...

Readywelder mated to a trailblazer 251nt
Hi folks,
well tech support confirmed what you have been saying, that in local mode the CV lug should be hot as it closes the contactor inside the machine. This means that there was something wrong with my CV side. He suggested...

ready welder and trailblazer 251nt
Hi and thanks for your comments,
I also expected the lead to be hot in local mode as it is on any welder I've every worked with. I did not take any voltage readings. Would I jumper the positive and negative lugs? I assume so. However...

readywelder and trailblazer 251nt
thanks for the reply.
The first thing I did was put it in local mode because I knew that I was not going through the 14 pin connector. I had to move the connector for the gun from the CC lug to the CV lug. NO power in local CV mode, only...

Using a ReadyWelder spoolgun with a Trailblazer 251NT
Hi Forum members,
Anyone actually hook up a readywelder to a trailblazer? I tried today and found that if I am using CC mode, it will get welding current but will not lay down even a bad bead, just sparks and bird drippings.
When in CV mode, it apparently must get some...

I have a Miller AED200LE. Yesterday while on a job welding aluminum using the AC side of the machine with a high frequency unit, the AC side stopped putting out current. I had been welding straight for about three hours and my torch was hot. At first I thought it was the...

Spoolgun contactor
Hi,
I read your thread on the spool guns. I happen to have a contactor that was used for an old Airco spoolgun, I think it was the AH20E. It was setup to run off of a gas drive DC welder. The problem is that this controller does not have a contactor...

Adapting an Airco AH20-E spoolgun to a MM250
Hi all,
I have a Millermatic 250. I also have a spoolmate 185 and an old Airco AH20-E spoolgun (same as the Spoolmatic I). The Airco is currently setup to run off of a gas drive CC welder with a Wc-3 controller and contactor box.
I have a relatively heavy aluminum project...
