Great tips. Now I got to go out to the shop and give that technique a try. Have many, many 1/2 to 3/4 areas done but have never made it all the way around. Again, thanks for the info.

Here is the real problem. Watching a football game that you don't care about. How is that possible?????? Us up here in the cold state of Wisconsin aren't thinking about welding and anti splatter except anti splatter on the field.

Yup
I drive a school bus and substitute teach at the local schools. The kids are your biggest cause
Just kidding, the fumes are bad. Doesn't your school have an exhaust system. When I teach in the welding shop, we use the exhaust.

I still get nothing showing that I have posted to any of the threads that I have posted to. My browser is up to date so I don't have a clue.

I put some beads on mine but being located up in NW Wisconsin and road salt, I found that I had a nice tight fit till I went to remove in the spring. After much hammering, cussing etc. etc. I got it out. Maybe a little slack is a good thing if you have road salt.

I guess that's why my insurance company will NOT cover welding of any type on any hitch system. Spelled out in the policy. Stuff like this must be happening all over the place.

Ok, hears the question
I have had both western and boss snow plows. Currently have the boss V plow. Wondering what happens to the pusher when the main blade catches something and you have the (nicely welded I might add) sides. It can't tip down so something is gonna give, I think....

Thanks for pointing out the height issue. I wasn't trying to take away from the job, I like it, I was just concerned for your liability is the only reason I mentioned it. Wisconsin requires handrails on any stairs of 3 or more risers and 24" above grade. With that the 4" rule is the rule...

Looks great but
Must have a different code than Wisconsin. It appears that there are areas with openings larger than 4" in some of the design. Don't get me wrong, I like what you have done but code is code in Wisconsin and I would have to reject it here based on the 4" rule....

Great repair. Always hard to understand why the customer complains about the cost and as it is, it is usually worthless unless it is fixed. Keep up the good work
