Haven't seen that. Slightly encouraging. But I agree, major bummer if not backed up. I may have to sell all my junky old welders now cause I can't read past posts on how to fix them. I'm going to back to a dark room now. ...
But in all seriousness folks, today it's your welding forum.....next it's your 401k and bank accounts. Grab yer mason jars and tin foil boys it's gonna get rough.
Exactly, especially since WW has sold "a few" Miller machines over the years. I'd venture to say "several" more than this site. Not a knock just sayin'....
Vapor lock? Fuel tank venting? Run it with the cap loose or off. Too light weight oil thinning down after getting hot and low oil pressure shutting it down?
I tend to go with your assessment WillieB. Looks like it was used without the nozzle for sure and possibly without the contact tip. Maybe larger diameter flux core that wouldn't fit the tip diameter an no nozzle in a tight spot. Regardless, glad it's going again....
I'm sure it can be fixed. With a shop machine, my biggest fear of transporting one is shaking or jarring something loose or from together. I'm sure you have, but check all connections that have nuts & bolts. Then check the molex connections.
York Electronics or Innovat can likely repair your board, but you need to know what took it out in the first place. Otherwise you'll smoke your freshly repaired $400-$800 board.
Get the # off you board and look it up for repair costs.
