cv/cc
I understand what they mean and kinda how the voltage works. However the other day the wrong welding truck was taken out to me, cv does not work on this machine. No rod on the truck, and I had a ton of welding to complete. I'm using 045 212 innershield. I played with the heat on regular cc welding,...

It can run on high idle as soon as I strike arc it pulls it down acts like it's going to die. It's the Onan engine. One time it ran wide open but couldn't hardly get arc out of it

miller 251 tb problem
Machine will run, when I strike up an arc, the machine idles down til it barely runs, and barely welds. What is the problem?

I run 6010 p5 downhill on straight polarity...I'm just tacking with it tho...nothing structural, then when all tacked up I come back with wire.

Got wire feed? If so check ALL your connections inside machine. If those are ok, make sure your ground clamp connections are clean, then make sure your work is clean where you attach the ground.

He has 6G certs. But he does not know wire. He fought me two years over getting a suitcase and picking up the production. About 8 years ago I got a suitcase, learned how to weld with 232 .072 innershield and for handrail in the field I would use.045 212 innershield. The production has picked up so much...

Only time I downhill is something small with no stress also. Just like tacking. I'm going to learn this gas/solid core better tho

I use stick an fc all the time. Imho it will be an even stronger weld provided you have taken all steps to prep because you don't have flux to worry about, therefore no inclusions...anyway he is grinding away

We made bumper for our crane, while he was gone I fooled around with it until I got it looking like I tig the weld. Didn't say a word, when he came by yesterday, inspecting was very happy with the appearance so I told him I ran it uphill, he told me to grind out and reweld, I refused

solid core welding
.035 75/25 gas, my boss says you can't weld that uphill. I say you can. Am I wrong

You can also run .068 or .072 233 or 232 innershield. I can weld out 1/4" 10' long in about 45 min. Also use 212 .045 wire. I run all that thru a suitcase.

I went ahead and wired it for 220. Welded just fine. Going to make a pigtail, (all I need is the female end to wire up so I can just plug into it if I have a small repair job and just plug into standard outlet) welded 1/8" lo/by, it runs smooth

Can't open it. But it is just a little machine with a shoulder strap, not much bigger than maxstar 150

And is there anything in machine that needs switched or is it automatic
