or you can spend $800 on a China machine you can run off a 20 amp 110 breaker or off your dryer plug with an adapter cable. Which you can carry around from place to place because it only weights 30 lbs.
I don't get why you guys are pushing noobs into buying a 300 lb machine they can't...

I find it's a balancing act. Too much or too little shade can prevent viewing. If it's too bright through the hood it will also hide the puddle. I have cheater lenses in my hood. Helps with my near sighted eyes....

For my hobby work most of the time I'm using a 3/32 tungsten. I've stepped down to using 1/16 for some body sheet metal which is hella-thin......

Haha that was my first thought too. You must admit something like this machine would be decent to learn on. Not something I'd use if my job depended on it. I paid about as much for my hood as this welder cost.
Most auto-dark hoods have a sensitivity adjustment. I was getting...Last edited by MasterKwan; 03-05-2021, 04:06 AM.

It's a working mig and tig welder for less than the cost of a cell phone. I look at that an despair for the US. China's going to win because they're products are "good enough". **** for this price I might buy one of these just so I can have a mig welder for the few times I need one....

Here in the US, the AHP/Everlast/Primeweld is probably the most common.
Looking at this pic, I'd say center is positive meaning the torch should go to the right and ground on the center. The thing with all Chinese gear is that you have to use your brains when using them and be aware that...Last edited by MasterKwan; 03-04-2021, 08:33 AM.

I don't know that machine either but my Lincoln with pulse had a "Trim" setting which controlled where in the air the wire melted (how close to the puddle). You need to use twice the tip to joint distance over short-arc. I'd get spatter if I was too close to the weld pool.

My garage computer is about 3 feet from my welding table. HF and AC have had zero impact on them. I'd be more concerned about sparks burning your house down than interference. The computer plays music 24x7 and has all my technical manuals and spread sheets on it. It's been 3-4 different computers over...

Yeah my thought too. I have plenty of chemicals I need to keep out of reach of children (and dogs)....

It seems more like a problem with Miller quality control than a problem with computerized or not....

Replace the blown up bits and hope for the best? I'd probably send it in for repair and pay the ask instead swapping parts that might or might not fix it. That's just me. It might be cheaper to just replace it with another used unit then trying to repair it....
