Sounds like a fried rectifier.Time to look for another welder.That's why I never use my good machines for airarcing.Pick up an old junker stick machine that you do'nt have much in to,for that pourpose.

Actually,I have been watching ebay for a long time and have not had much luck finding any heating tips for my w-17,except for the one I just picked up that has some severe problems.I am now looking for a tip to screw in to that mixer.

Yah,I sold my mixer,2-stage Concoa stainless regulators,hoses and the whole shootin match,If you want to call it sell.The whole thing brought only around $700.00 and the regulators alone would cost $1,400.00 to replace,so I did not do too good.I set this up,because I had been looking for a optima pulser...

need help locating a heating tip for torch

Have you tried an oxy mix yet ? All I can remember ever using for spray is 95-5 and 98-2 argon/oxy mixes and they work well.I have heard,especially on the boards,where guys are using the C02 mixes,but I dont remember trying it myself.
