I need your ideas
Here is the puzzle: I have 10 frames 17'6" L 5'6" H 5'6" W and they weigh 3500lbs that I need to lift 13' and weld to embed plates in the ceiling. Placing them within 1/4" of the grid lines as well account for plumb. It's on the second floor and I cant get a fork lift to the site....

IMO all of the GTAW machines under 200 amps out are a wast of money, save for the ones that use 110v input.
I have many hours cursing a Syncrowave 180 and the Lincoln equal as well the (ESAB 161 inverter). Waiting for them to cool down so as to continue welding.

It would depend who you will be working for.
If you are working for the OEM then they will have the ultimate say.
Any other employer would depend on state regulations first.

Unlike steel Aluminum has no prequalified welding procedures (re AWS D1.1 - D1.3)
So to carry an aluminum certification first you would need a qualified procedure then to test to that procedure.
The fact that no prequalified procedures exist for aluminum necessitates contractors...

The mechanism would get clogged with the metal and blade particles.

That is not true.
AC is not required to GTAW weld aluminum nor is a high frequency generator.
Please do your homework and report back later tonight with how you are wrong....
