I know they are cheap, but in a pinch you can back to a useable condition with lemon pledge. I know I thought the same thing when a guy told me. So I let a lens go for over a month. 2 weeks of which I was gouging S.S. plug welds out of little 9" x9" cubby holes. I let that lens get nasty...

I have a Miller Elite, Speedglas, Arc one (industrial 540 lens) Jackson (with ECQ drop in) Hobart variable and a junk Drop hood. If I am going to be under the hood for hours I prefer the Elite, its lighter than any other which my neck from getting stiff. The speedglas was a bad purchase...
