"ACE is the place"
Finished a little project the other day. A variation on the "ACE" logo. My boss at work liked it well enough to display it. Every component is something we sell there at the hardware store. Although I found almost all of it while walking...Fun project and I suspect I might use this technique...

When I was on the Fire Department, when we needed to use chains, we would throw a turnout coat or a blanket or something over it. If the chain broke, the weight would help control the snapping chain. Just a thought.

Holiday wishes

Final chapter (I hope) of the mailbox saga
Some of you may remember I have had a little misfortune with my mailbox. So. Made a new one that sorta hints to the neighbor kid to be a little more careful when parking in his driveway. (Incidentally, the kid who smashed my old one paid me for it. Good kid. And now he knows to set his brake.....

Occasionally, I forget to wear my leather apron while grinding. This sometimes results in me setting my shirt on fire. Got a bunch of shirts like that now. My wife hates it when I set my clothes on fire while wearing them. Must admit, not real good firefighter behaviour......

Plasma cutter

Mail box post got bent. I know. I know. Ya just straighten it, right? Where's the fun in that? I took it as an opportunity to make another guy and put him to work, pushing on it......

Thanks guys. I am very lucky that my wife is patient with my goofy ideas. She even likes some of them. I started out making seasonal guys for the roof and then something happened to my brain and I occasionally get these weirdo ideas. I attribute them to smoke damage (30 years on the Fire Department...)...
