My welder at work is a 210 not a 211.

I use the 211- spoolmate 100 rig at work with good results for auto body repair.
I consider myself an amature when it comes to aluminum however I did have to repair a large electric cable operated overhead door that was framed with 3/8 aluminum channel.

I cleaned off the ground clamp and tried the machine out in cool early morning temperatures. I welds like a champ!
I tested all the hoses with soapy water and found no leaks so I guess that the gas selonoid must be faulty but probably not enough to replace it.

Oh yeah.
There are no unusual noises.
The machine is very quiet.

The first thing I did was take the cover sheet metal off and blow every thing out very good with compressed air. then install a new roll of wire and clean the contact tip and difuser.
Then I moved the jumper plate from 200 volts to 230.
So I very much appriceate all the input so far....

I purchaced a Millermatic Vintage today on an online auction.
It welds great for a couple of minutes then blows the breaker of the building instead of the breaker inside the machine.
Should I assume the machine is working fine but the breakers for the building are weak?

I got an Otterbox defender today at Best Buy.
Seemed a little pricy but not compaired to the cost of a new Iphone.
Pretty impressive actually. I looks like it should do a good job protecting it from weld splatter and grindings.
