It's a propane tank. Took out all the caps, valves and whatever held the stench in. It was not a fun time smelling it. Headache as soon as you could smell it. It sat for months. I did add water to it before the plasma cutting started....

I've never used an inverter tig, but my sync does a good job. I also have a dedicated 70 amp circuit for it. It's also alot cheaper. If you're not using it daily, I'd purchase this unit. Just my thoughts. Good luck!
